Activate elements within a step.

Warning: Development of this capability and user interface is expected to evolve in subsequent releases. Therefore, models may not be upward compatible without modification.

This option is used to turn on a progressive element activation feature within a step definition.

Required parameters

ACTIVATION
Set this parameter equal to the name assigned to the progressive element activation feature on the ELEMENT PROGRESSIVE ACTIVATION option.

Optional parameters

EXPANSION TIME CONSTANT
Set this parameter equal to the time constant used to ramp on thermal strains at element activation. The default value is 2 times the initial time increment.
