Defining superelastic hardening

You specify the dependence of the yield stress on the total strain to define the piecewise linear hardening of martensite.

Plasticity model for superelastic materials
  1. Create a material model as described in Defining a superelasticity model.

  2. From the Suboptions menu in the Edit Material dialog box, select Superelastic Hardening.

    A Suboption Editor appears.

  3. Enter the following data in the Data table:

    Yield Stress
    Yield stress.
    Total Strain
    Total strain.

  4. Click OK to return to the Edit Material dialog box.
