Define the Objective Function in Tosca ANSA® environment

Before you begin: For the objective function a target function (design response) has to be defined. Tosca ANSA® environment only allows design responses to be defined within either an objective function (OBJ_FUNC) or within the CONSTRAINT object.
  1. Define a DRESP for the objective function as shown in the following figure:

  2. Choose whether you want the Design Response to be minimized or maximized:

  1. Select Command > OBJ_FUNC .

    The OBJ_FUC menu appears.

  2. Click Add Dresp and select a predefined design response that should be minimized or maximized:
