Basic Sections of Tosca Fluid.gui

Tosca Fluid.gui is divided into several basic sections.

The different sections of the gui are:

  • (A) Menu bar
  • (B) Toolbar
  • (C) SIMULIA Tosca Fluid job tree structure
  • (D) Working area (several tabs possible)
  • (E) Console output area

All sections are depicted in the figure below:

Menu Bar

The menus contain basic operations such as open and save parameter files. Furthermore, the preferences panel can be accessed within the Tools menu.

Toolbar

The toolbar contains buttons that provide frequently used functionality in an alternative way. Some of the functions depend on what is selected for example in the job tree, others do not. All functions in the toolbar can also be found in either the main menu or one of the context menus.

SIMULIA Tosca Fluid Job Tree Structure

The SIMULIA Tosca Fluid job tree structure is the central section within Tosca Fluid.gui. All elements contained in a SIMULIA Tosca Fluid job are displayed here in a hierarchical tree structure. Besides the content of the SIMULIA Tosca Fluid XML parameter file also existing result files in the SIMULIA Tosca Fluid result directory structure are displayed.

The Working Area

The working area is used to open panels to create or modify elements of the job tree, to start SIMULIA Tosca Fluid and perform other tasks. Several panels can be opened simultaneously. They are aligned in a tab structure.

Console Output Area

The console output area is used to display the console output of SIMULIA Tosca Fluid, Tosca Fluid.post and Tosca Fluid.smooth when started from within Tosca Fluid.gui.
