Defining a retained nodal DOFs boundary condition

Display the retained nodal DOFs boundary condition editor using one of the following methods:

• To create a new retained nodal DOFs boundary condition, follow the procedure outlined in Creating boundary conditions (Category: Mechanical; Types for Selected Step: Retained nodal dofs).

• To edit an existing retained nodal DOFs boundary condition using menus or managers, see Editing step-dependent objects. To edit the region to which the boundary condition is applied, see Editing the region to which a prescribed condition is applied.

Toggle on any of the following options:

U1

Nodal freedom in the 1-direction.

U2

Nodal freedom in the 2-direction.

U3

Nodal freedom in the 3-direction.

UR1

Rotation about the 1-axis.

UR2

Rotation about the 2-axis.

UR3

Rotation about the 3-axis.

Click OK to save your data and to exit the editor.
