Using the Query toolset to obtain connector assignment information

You can use the Query toolset to display detailed information about connector section assignments.

Understanding the role of the Query toolset

  1. From the main menu bar, select ToolsQuery.

    Tip: You can also query the model by clicking the tool in the Query toolbar.

    Abaqus/CAE displays the Query dialog box.

    You can request either a general query or a module-specific query. For a discussion of the information displayed by general queries, see Obtaining general information about the model. The Connector assignments query is specific to the Interaction module.

  2. From the Interaction Module Queries list, select Connector assignments.

    A summary of connector section assignments appears.

  3. Select the wires or attachment lines in the viewport that you want to query. (For more information, see Selecting objects within the viewport.)

  4. Click Done or click mouse button 2 to display detailed information about the connector section assignment for the selected wires or attachment lines.

  5. To exit the querying procedure, click the cancel button in the prompt area.
