- For
Abaqus/Standard
analyses:
-
Diagnostic information is written to the message (.msg)
file, and a subset of the information is written to the output database
(.odb) file. You can view the diagnostic information in
the output database in
the Visualization module
(for more information, see
Viewing diagnostic output).
By default, the information is written during every iteration; you can request
that
Abaqus
discontinue writing diagnostic information to the message file by specifying an
output frequency of zero.
- For
Abaqus/Explicit
analyses:
-
Diagnostic information is written to the status (.sta)
file. For information on the frequency at which this information is written,
see
About Output.
You display the Edit Diagnostic Print dialog box by
selecting from the main menu bar.
For detailed instructions on requesting diagnostic printing, see
Configuring diagnostic printing.
Note:
Changes to the diagnostic print requests do not affect the diagnostic
information written to the output database during
Abaqus/Standard
analyses.
